Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Developer (referred to as either "the Developer", "I", "Me" or "My" in this Policy) refers to the individual who created and maintains MeetZap.
  • Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Service refers to the MeetZap website.
  • Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service.

Event and Availability Data

When using MeetZap, you may provide the following information voluntarily:

  • Event titles and descriptions
  • Selected dates and time ranges
  • Your display name (when submitting availability)
  • Your time slot selections

MeetZap does not require account registration or login. No email address, password, or other personal credentials are collected.

Usage Data

Usage Data may be collected automatically when using the Service. This may include information such as your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of the Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, time spent on those pages, and other diagnostic data.

Use of Your Data

I may use the data you provide for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service, including displaying event details and participant availability to those who have the event link.
  • To improve the Service, by analyzing usage patterns and identifying areas for improvement.
  • To ensure the security of the Service, by monitoring for abuse or unauthorized use.

Retention of Your Data

Event and availability data is stored temporarily for scheduling purposes. Events and their associated data may be automatically deleted after a period of inactivity. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when used to improve security or functionality of the Service.

Sharing of Your Data

MeetZap does not sell, trade, or rent your data to third parties. Event and availability information is accessible to anyone who has the unique event link. You should only share event links with people you intend to coordinate with.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

MeetZap may use cookies or similar technologies to remember your language preference and improve your experience. These are limited to essential functionality. I do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking services.

Security of Your Data

The security of your data is important to me. While I strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided me with Personal Data, please contact me.

Links to Other Websites

The Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by me. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
